1970’s western top featuring the most iconic cowboy graphic on the back with rope text that says “Happy Trails” and a man on horseback strumming his guitar in the silhouette of a setting desert sun. The graphic is printed or painted not embroidered. The front has fringe in the classic v-shape across the chest with beautiful abalone buttons set in silver. I could not find any loose seam allowance to do a burn test, it’s so silky soft I believe it may be silk but I’m not positive. A gorgeous example of vintage western clothing from this time and many nods to 40s western fashion.
No tags, but sadly a tag was cut out of the neckline before I purchased it. Condition is excellent! No stains or odors. There is what I would call a rough patch under one arm where it just looks like the fabric encountered some trauma, not holes but a few kind of thinning lines that are unseen when worn and not going anywhere. I used the sleeve cuff buttons to replace two buttons on the front button panel then miraculously found abalone silver buttons at an estate that match almost exactly so you would never know the sleeve cuff buttons aren’t original. I noticed while I was pressing the teeniest mark on the front button panel I don’t want to put this perfect fringe in water so I haven’t treated it. Super faint and pretty much unseen when worn. As you can see it presents beautifully.
