Early 1940's Alumesh Whiting & Davis Co. purse or handbag in cream with plastic chain handle and bamboo plastic opening

$69.00

Late 1930's to early 1940's alumesh purse by Whiting and Davis Co. in a beautiful cream metal mesh - connected metal diamonds that feel amazing in your hand and have really cool movement. The opening and handle are made from a hard and durable ivory cream early plastic. The opening looks like there is bamboo that goes up around the top making little loops for the plastic chain handle. There are two square crossing snaps that clink into place and function perfectly. The purse is lined in a navy fabric that is in excellent shape with no flaws.

The only flaw I could find is a bit of wear to the metal diamonds on the back left side where the cream has turned a bit silver at the very tops - not at all noticeable but you should be able to see what I'm referring to in the photos and video. Condition is remarkable with years of wear to go.

Generous medium size 12" wide side to side, 7" tall top to bottom, handle is 7.5" up from the opening and 15" long.
