1960's blue with white polka dot and red collar long sleeve sheath shirtdress

$64.00

Late 1960's polka dot shirtdress in classic navy blue with contrasting red collar and button panel and bright white buttons. This is such a fun vintage piece, the bold colors and polka dots make it really pop! It has cuffed long sleeves and the red print is on the inside of the sleeve cuffs as well. It has a collared neckline and a very 60's sheath silhouette. The fabric is a very soft, nice weight poly, I see this as being best worn in fall or winter season.

The brand tag says "Bleeker Street" which is a famous street in NYC's Greenwich Village, this is where Marvel's Doctor Strange lived in the famous comic but it is an iconic part of the city. There is also an ILGWU union tag and a care tag. One thing I love about vintage from this era is how easy it is to care for, machine wash and hang, no iron needed.

Condition is excellent! I just washed it, so no odors, no holes, no stains, it looks crisp and new! There was a place on the collar where the stitching had come out on the inside so I repaired it, but I had to stitch on the outside for it to lay right. I did the same stitch on the other collar so it looks like it was manufactured that way - I've shown in photos, looks great! There is also a little line you can see in the photos on the bottom right of the buttons, but it's really nothing, maybe a thread that was pulled on the inside, but you can't really see it now that I pulled it out, just wanted to let you know in case you notice that - hardly a flaw. Presents just beautifully!
