1950's fit and flare dress with the most gorgeous border print of blooming flowers and a dramatic striped floral print on the bottom of the super full skirt. Fitted bodice with a wide scoop neckline and cap sleeves, side darts at the bust, and the top is fully lined. This skirt has amazing movement when worn and I'm quite sure the fabric is rayon jersey which feels amazing on. Closure is a matching metal zipper down the back. The colors are so gorgeous together on the white background the print really pops. It's actually not a proper border print because the print on the border is actually another fabric all together, so it is, but it's not if you know what I mean. Wonderful example of 50s fashion in a classic 50s silhouette.
The brand tag says "A Claire Tiffany Traveler" so darling. Condition is excellent! Freshly washed and pressed with zero stains or odors. I found two teeny holes in the skirt, on the border print panel, they are so small and a kind of common thing with rayon jersey. I've found that it only brings more attention to them if you patch this kind of fabric so I've left them, but you will have a very hard time even finding what I'm referring to. I have shown the larger of the two in photos but it's still smaller than a pinhead. I've reduced the price although these in no way take away from how stunning this dress is. Many years of wear to go and presents like a dream!
I have shown this with the bodice just lightly clamped on the form for proper shape but also flat for your reference. Size is a modern small, with a pretty small waist, about a size 2-4 and the measurements are as follows:
Bust - 37"
Waist - 26"
Hips - open
Shoulder to waist - 15"
Waist to hem - 26.5"
