1950's tan barrel shaped basket bag with a gold handle and gold feet. The closure strap is leather and so are the little tabs at the bottom hinge opening. This bag is a unique mix of the more typical coated wicker and there are thicker horizontal panels that feel organic but I'm not positive what the material is. The top opening area is wrapped in coated wicker or bamboo and the bag is fully lined with a printed cotton with a "made in Hong Kong" tag on the inside pocket area.
Condition is beautiful. I gave it a wipe down and it's super clean. I noticed some very tiny spots on the top right side of the horizontal panels but this might just be part of the material and isn't at all noticeable. As you can see in the photos the leather strap has some very light wrinkles to it - which looks fine but worth noting. It presents beautifully, the closure works perfectly and there are years of wear to go.
