1950's swimsuit or playsuit in a beautiful abstract floral print with shades of blue, brown, black and white. This suit has a very figure flattering fit with a slightly dropped waist design and a sweetheart neckline that has built in nylon bra and boning on the sides. It also has a built in panty so you feel nice and secure inside the suit. The fabric is so pretty, I was surprised to discover it was 100% cotton but thrilled as cotton is so easy to wear and care for - it is quite thin with a very tight knit so more of a polished cotton than a traditional cotton weave. The black straps have 3 adjustment points for the buttons on the inside (I should have tightened them one more on my model) and the closure is a sturdy metal zipper with 2 hook and eyes on the panel underneath insuring a flattering silhouette.
There is no brand tag, but there is a union/fabric tag so it was not handmade. Condition is excellent! The thicker elastic under the internal bra has lost most it's stretch but it still is shaped so that it kind of keeps you in place because the bust is structured into the suit. The elastic around the backline and legs of the internal panty still have nice stretch. The crotch is fully intact with no holes or runs, amazing condition. The colors are vibrant with no fade and there are no holes, stains, or odors. Presents just beautifully as you can see in the photos.
Size is a modern small to medium. I've shown this suit on two models. The curly haired one is a size 6 and it fit her a bit better than the blonde who is a size 4, but it was cute on both of them. Best fit is a modern 6 or so. The measurements are as follows:
Bust - 33" (but moulded bust and with cleavage could easily fit larger)
Waist - 27.75-28" tight
Hips - 39"
Middle of neckline to bottom of suit - 22.5"
Length from strap bottom to suit bottom - 22"
Leg opening - 11.5 flat
