1950’s 2 piece dress set in a lovely light steel blue very soft wool. Jacket and dress fully lined in a silky rayon. Dress has a wiggle silhouette with a scoop neckline and backline. Beautifully hand beading detail goes all the way around the front and back. Figure flattering shape with 3 waist darts on either side in front and two in back. There is a hidden pocket in the right side seam of the dress. Closure is a matching metal zipper with a hook and eye at the top.
Bolero jacket has a dolman 3/4 sleeve that is cuffed. The beading on the jacket is elaborate and it does appear that all the beads are intact.
Amazing tag in dress says “Zolot of California- hand detailed”. Fully washed and repaired with the following small fixes. There were two holes in the back of the jacket. I was able to pull fabric from the inside seam and repair these holes with very small stitches so they are unseen now. Also, I went under the lining and took a needle through some of the larger beads that were hanging a little bit too low and they are now all in the correct place. The measurements are as follows:
Bust - 35”
Waist - 26”
Hips - 37”
Shoulder to waist - 15.5”
Waist to hem - 29”
Bolero jacket:
Bust - 37” but open
Length - 16.5”
