1950’s fit and flare dress in a colorful plaid on a yellow background. It’s a full shirtdress with red buttons all the way down the front and at the sleeve cuffs. It has a notched collar that dips around the back in a very cool way. The bodice is fitted with diagonal darts at the bust and deep pleats around the skirt that create beautiful fullness and movement when worn. Made from easy to wear and care for 100% cotton. Very classic 50s print and silhouette, a perfect addition to any collectors closet.
I discovered no tags in this dress. It might have been handmade, but if so very nicely made. Condition is excellent. No holes, stains or odors, clean as can be. As you can see it presents like a dream with years of wear to go.
Size is a modern large. I've shown it a bit big but unpinned on my model Annie - the belt is not included but I wanted to show the proper shape. Annie is 5'6" with a 34/27/38. This can for sure accommodate a larger size as well. The measurements are as follows:
Bust - 41"
Waist - 30"
Hips - open
Shoulder to waist - 15.75"
Waist to hem - 25.5"
Shoulder - 15.25"
Sleeve - 20"
