1970's rainbow plaid maxi dress with a boat neckline, puff sleeves and a large ruffle at the bottom. It has a very long matching tie. The print is super colorful and the slihouette is classic 70s. I've shown the bow of the tie in front and back- both are very cute. Fabric is 100% cotton and closure is a green back zipper.
No tags as this dress is clearly handmade. I've washed and restored the dress but discovered after a few customers attempted to try it on that the arm holes were cut way too small for modern women. I opened the seam under the arms and sewn the edges over so it functions now. You can only see where I opened the armholes when you lift your arm but it was something that had to be done. The dress is priced gently because of this, but it is otherwise perfect with zero holes, stains, or odors. The opening under the sleeves is shown in photos. As you can see it presents beautifully.
Size is a modern medium by measurements of bust and waist, but with the small arms and small sleeve openings a smaller person fits this dress better than a medium person. The waist and hips are open but the opening of the sleeve and shoulder measurement seam to seam across the back are both on the small side. It's shown on my small dress form and looks great. The measurements are as follows:
Bust - 38"
Waist - open (very long tie could work on a small person)
