1970's bamboo large scale print 2-piece skirt set or skirt suit wrap top with peplum & pencil skirt

$47.00

1970's large scale bamboo print 2-piece skirt set. The print has asian influence and this garment was clearly designed in an artistic way with the print in mind. There are two pieces, the top is a wrap with short sleeves, small pleats at the top of the shoulders, piping around the v-neck, a peplum below the waist and a button on the inside and outside so it stays put. The skirt is a midi length pencil skirt with a side slit so its easy to walk in. It has a back zip closure. The overall design of this garment is so cool and modern but the uncommon khaki color and amazing print really puts it over the top cool. These pieces make a bold statement together but could work great on their own as well.

I did not discover any brand tags, but both pieces have a lot tag and the top has a care tag as well indicating they were not handmade. The awesome discovery was the marked selvage in the zipper that says "The Cloth Company" and there are a few other words I can't quite read but it is clearly dates stamped 1977.

Condition is excellent! Freshly laundered and steamed, no holes, stains or odors. I was able to fuzz-bust a tiny touch of balling which you wouldn't know was there. It truly presents like new!

Size is a modern extra small to small or about a 2-4. I've shown it here on Brinley who is 5'10" with a 34/25.5/36 and it was darling on her. The measurements are as follows:

Top:
Bust - 37"
Waist - 26.5"
Length - 20" (total length 15.5 shoulder to waist)

Skirt:
Waist - 25.5"
Hips - 38"
Length - 28.25"
