1940's goldenrod yellow dress with the most stunning beaded and sequin flower design around the at boat neckline in a high contrast black. The silhouette is so lovely with a more fitted bodice and 3/4 sleeves that have articulated elbows and matching metal crown zippers at the end of the sleeves. The skirt is flowy with amazing movement when worn. It has a front train that is a separate panel down the front connected at the top, it's so lovely. The waist is accented with a perpendicular panel in front and back that has ruching on either side which gives it that flattering drape through the middle. The fabric is a lovely lightweight rayon crepe and closure is a yellow metal crown zipper on the side and all of the zippers have a bell shaped zipper foundation. Interestingly the dress is lined through that ruched center so it feels great on your skin.
I discovered no tags in this dress but I would be surprised if it was handmade as the construction is so high quality. Condition is excellent. I decided not to soak it as I do not want to loose any of the beading or sequins but it has no holes, stains or odors and is ready to wear.
Size is a modern small to medium. I've shown it on my model Brinley and she is 5'8"with a 34/26/36. The measurements are as follows:
