1950's fit and flare dress in a beautiful novelty print of coins with faces, crests and other interesting designs on them. Classic 50s silhouette with a fitted bodice and pleats around the top of the skirt make it extra full. This dress has 3/4 sleeves that have lace trim at the ends. This lovely scallop lace is repeated around the bottom of the skirt. It has a crew neckline with a tacked fold down the middle and the fabric is an easy to wear and care for 100% cotton. I just love these 50s day dresses and the novelty print is such a fun bonus!
I discovered no brand tags in this dress, but there is a frayed lot tag in the front of the neckline and in the skirt seam there is an AFL CIO union tag so it was not handmade. Condition is excellent! No holes, stains, or odors, freshly washed pressed and ready to wear. I reinforced a few seams that were pulling and it presents just beautifully now.
Size is a modern XS or around a size 4. The model shown in a size 4 and is 5 foot 9. The measurements are as follows:
Bust - 35"
Waist - 25.5"
Hips - open
Shoulder to waist - 15"
Waist to hem - 22.5" with about 1.5" seam allowance
