1980’s does 1940’s dress featuring the most incredible print in stunning and unexpected colors of olive, kelly green, bright red, tan, purple and black - so moody and beautiful. The print has an array of tropical leaves and flowers. In a very 80s way, this dress takes the classic 40s silhouette and turns it up to 11. It has a crew neckline with a mega dolman batwing 3/4 sleeve. The shoulder pads in this dress are pretty major. There's a deep pleat at both shoulders that coordinates with a pleat at the waist creating a lovely blouson shape to the bodice. Still fitted at the waist but the skirt is where the drama really goes nuts! Beautiful double peplum that comes to a point in back - so cool. There is a slit in the bottom back of the skirt for easy movement. 100% rayon and SO soft to to touch with stunning movement when worn. Closure is a talon back zipper. Just the perfect example of the trend of 40s into 80s mainstream fashions.
Brand tag says "Phoebe" and there is a fabric/care tag under that which also tells us this dress was made in the USA. Condition is perfect! Fresh as a flower with no holes, stains or odors, presents almost like new.
Size is a modern large or around a size 10 to 12. Shown on me, I am 5'7" with a 42/31/40 and it's a bit big but still very cute. The measurements are as follows:
Bust - 42" (hard to tell with this dolman sleeve though)
Waist - 34"
Hips - 44.5"
Shoulder to waist - 15"
Waist to hem - 31"
