1960's ivory cream long swing coat with the most gorgeous minimalist mod silhouette. The fabric is possibly hand knit and has a very soft fuzzy texture - likely an Angora or wool Angora blend. Fully lined with a thick silky fabric throughout the entire coat including the bell shaped half sleeves. The collar is high with 3 large scale pearly buttons at the top. There are two big pockets at the bottom of the coat on either side in front.
Purchased from the estate of Sylvia Carter here in Logan Utah this item was discovered in a downstairs closet in a bag with the two big pockets not yet attached. One of a number of very well made items that were not yet complete. It does appear it has never been worn as the pockets were not on when I purchased it. I have since sewn them on where I believe they would go. New condition with zero flaws to report.
Size is a modern large with the following measurements:
Bust - 44"
Waist/Hips - open (measuring 47" flat at the natural hip)
Length - 39.5"
Hard to measure sleeve and shoulder as they are raglan cut. Fits me well and I am a 41/30/40.
