Early 1960’s gold brocade tank dress set with matching jacket size XXS pristine condition. This dress set is such a perfect example of early 60's fashion done right, it has a very classic silhouette, and it so well made. The fabric has a shiny cream background with a beautiful floral print in shiny white and very sparkly gold. The dress has a boat neckline with a scoop backline. There is piping around the waist and the skirt has pleating at the top with a figure flattering shape. It is fully lined, and it has something I have only seen a few times which is print in the selvage around the zipper that says "Iron like Nylon, avoid hot iron" - but no tag information. However I don't believe it is handmade, there is so much attention to detail in the construction, it is truly a beautiful garment. Closure is a back talon zipper with a hook and eye at the top and there is a hook and eye at the waistline as well so the zipper stays hidden. The jacket has a small standup collar with a dolman cut 3/4 sleeve. It is also fully lined and expertly constructed.
Condition is pristine perfect, no holes, stains, or odors, presents like new!
Size is a modern XXS - or about a 0-2. My model shown is a size 2 and it fit her but was tight. This dress has a very small waist so please look carefully at the measurements.
