1950's shirtwaist dress, red buttons, white with black border print floral fit and flare cotton day dress excellent condition size S waist 26"

1950's day dress with a very interesting trompe l'oeil lace print that creates a wonderful border print on the skirt. This dress is shirtwaist with red buttoned down the front just past the waist which does have a hook and eye closure to keep everything just so. It has a riviera style collar and black piping at the sleeveless arm holes. 100% cotton, super easy to wear and care for. Silhouette is classic 50s fit and flare style with pleats around the skirt creating a pretty a-line shape. 

Brand tag is Penny's Brentwood Cottons, so collectible and fun to wear. Condition is excellent. Freshly soaked and steamed with the original buttons replaced as the rhinestones were missing. The red buttons are period correct and bring more interest to the overall design. All the seam separations have been repaired and she is sturdy as can be. There are two small marks that did not come off in the wash and I almost wonder if they are kind of flaws of the original print, either way, not at all noticeable. I've pointed them out in photos right by the waist and one close to the first pleat on the left. As you can see it presents beautifully with years or wear to go. 

Size is a modern small or around a size 4/6. The measurements are as follows:
