1950's light blue and tan plaid drop waist shirtdress Peter Pan collar flower buttons dot lace trim size S 26" waist

1950's plaid shirtdress featuring the most darling feminine details. This dress has a drop waist fit and flare silhouette with flower pearly buttons down the front and dot lace trim on the button panel sleeve cuffs and collar. The collar has a Peter Pan shape with a little black bow that snaps into the top. This plaid fabric is unique with tiny holes in some of the lines creating a very lightweight breezy feel. It's a touch sheer which is so nice in the warmer months. The skirt is gathered at either side and around the back at the hips and has beautiful fullness and movement when worn. Fabric is an easy to wear and care for 100% cotton. Closure is the buttons down the front. 

No tags in this dress and it is possible it was handmade but if so it was a very talented sewer. The seams are all nicely finished off and the darting is expert level. Condition is excellent. Freshly soaked and steamed. Stains have been treated and there are only two that are still there and only barely. There is a teeny rust stain below the collar in back, and what looks like a purple-ish marker on the right side of the skirt right tin the pleating so it's very hard to see. Shown in photos. These are not the slightest bit noticeable and it's clean as can be with no holes or odors. Presents beautifully with years of wear to go.

Not measuring waist to hem as the waist is not specified.
