1950's red lace overlay 2-piece big girls formal dress set. This set features a fit and flare dress with a boat neckline that has a silky kind of cumber-bun in front and a sash with two buttons around the back. There is elastic around the back for getting it on and off easily. It has a silky under-dress with a lace overlay, feels soft to the skin, and the skirt is full and flowing. This set also has a matching little collared jacket with a half sleeve and a peter-pan collar. It has covered buttons down the front. The pieces are darling worn together but could work separately as well. I know the original owner and she said this was a dress purchased for a Daddy daugher dance and she loved it - so cute!
The tag says "Charm World Montgomery Ward" and the condition is excellent. I noticed the covered buttons which are totally solid look a tiny touch like there could be a little running of the fabric in them, but it is very hard to see and No holes, stains, or odors, this item is in amazing shape! As you can see, it truly presents like new.
Size is about a children's 10-12 - that is what size my 10 year old daughter shown was wearing at this time. The measurements are as follows:
