Absolutely GORGEOUS emerald green vintage velvet knee length skirt featuring cute gathers at the front of the waist and double darts on either side in back. I believe this skirt is 1970's but the design of it is so timeless it's hard to know for sure. It appears to be hand-made as there is no tag, but the condition and craftsmanship is really awesome.
This skirt has a side zipper and it did not have a button so I made a button closure on the side with a vintage button. The velvet is in great condition and a nice weight but it is lined in the back, but not the front. There's 2.5 inches seam allowance at the hem so it could easily be longer. It appears to be lopsided on my form but it's not at all, that's only because it barely fit on my form, it's quite small. Modern size XS - measurements are as follows:
Waist - 24.5 - 25" tight
Hips - 36.5-37"
Length - 24.25"
I've shown this barely pinned on my size XXS model - she is quite short so keep that in mind as well, but it is so darling on her.
