1980's does 1950's paisley print fit and flare dress in beautiful shades of purple, lavender and sea green. The dress is collared with buttons going down to the waist. There is a yoke over the shoulders with pintucks coming out in front and back creating a bit of a blouson shape to the bodice. The sleeves are bracelet length. There are pleats on either side of the skirt giving it nice fullness as well as pockets at the sides which is such a cool detail. There is a pocket on the left bust. The design of this dress has no closure other than the buttons to the waist, so it would need to be pulled over your head and therefore you could wear it with the waist a little loose as shown or belted which would also be cute.
The brand tag says "Avon Fashions" and there's a tag next to that which tells us it is a lovely soft 100% rayon, made in china and it has care information which says to dry clean but I have no problems doing a delicate cycle and air dry on 80s rayon garments. Condition is excellent. No holes, stains, or odors washed and ready to wear.
Size is a modern XL to 1X. Shown here on my model Naomi who is 5'7" with a 41/32.5/46 and it was darling on her unpinned. The measurements are as follows:
Bust - 41.5"
Waist - 37" (but would be cute belted and waist must go over head)
Hips - open (53")
Shoulder to waist - 17"
