Late 1950's drop waist dress atomic fleck pleated skirt button detail excellent condition size S/M 28" waist

Late 1950's to early 1960's drop waist dress in this most gorgeous atomic fleck fabric deep red with flicks of black grey and white throughout. Very cool mod design with thoughtful darting and a drop waist pleated skirt. Cut is more 60s as it is not tight in the waist but could easily be belted for a more fit and flare silhouette. Dolman cut cap sleeves and button details at the bottom of the low waist. Closure is a metal back zipper. 

No tags but there is evidence of a tag in the neckline which leads me to believe this was not handmade. The princess seams in front were pulling in places so they have been re-sewn and most seams in this dress were reinforced  just to be sure they don't go anywhere. It's worth noting that the zipper is sewn up into the skirt - almost like the skirt was taken up from its original position but you would never know. Freshly washed with no holes, stains or odors. Ready to wear and presents beautifully. 

Size is a modern small to medium. The bust is on the smaller side but as the waist is not meant to be tight could accommodate larger as well. The measurement are as follows: 

Bust - 34"

Waist - 28"

Drop waist - 34"

Hips - open

Length - 41.5"

Not taking shoulder to waist measurement as the waist is dropped.
