1980’s does 1940’s dress, white abstract print on a black background with peplum by Contempo Casuals

1980’s does 1940’s Contempo Casuals dress. This dress is the epitome of the 40s revival that became so popular in the 80s - made from a lovely soft and flowing rayon and with all those signature 40s details. The print has little white scribbles on a black background. Strong shoulder with shoulder pads, v-neckline that has a white contrast panel across, dolman cut short sleeves with no shoulder seam. The most distinctive feature is the beautiful peplum that creates the most feminine silhouette and it drops down lower around the back, so artistic and cool! Closure is a matching YKK zipper up the back with a hook and eye at the top.

This dress is made from trendy fashion clothier "Contempo Casuals" and it's my favorite of their tags with eyeshadowed eyes and juicy lips under the logo, so playful and cool. Condition is excellent. No holes, stains or odors, and freshly washed. I did notice the tiniest touch of discoloration at the top of that white panel in the neckline, it's so faint, but you can see what I'm referring to in the photos. Also, the white print looks a bit worn at the side of the waistline, more on the right than the left - it looks like the previous owner wore it with a belt which would explain that, but honestly, the white is still clear and present so it isn't a big deal. As you can see, the dress presents beautifully with years of wear to go.
