1970's blue and white palm tree print shirtdress with matching belt by Diane Von Furstenberg. I purchased this dress from the original owner who bought it on Oak Street in Chicago in the 1970s. This dress is made from a beautiful 50/50 cotton poly blend thta keeps its shape really nicely. It has a collar and buttons down the front with a matching tie waistband. The print and silhouette are iconic vintage DVF.
Condition is excellent, although there are a few flaws to report. This dress has been in storage for 50 years so it needed to be washed. I gave it such a careful delicate wash in cold with a mild detergent, but I still got some color bleed which was quite devastating. It is very slight and you can only tell in a few places but I've highlighted the touch of bleed in photos for your reference. There are also a few rough spots on the tie belt but they are hard to see and it functions perfectly.
Size is a modern small to medium or around a size 4/6. The measurements are as follows:
