1980's does 1950's 2 piece skirt suit. lavender purple cotton linen with art nouveau print lining

1980's does 1950's 2-piece skirt suit featuring a short sleeve blazer jacket top and a pleated a-line skirt made from a gorgeous lavender purple textured linen. The blazer top has very pretty carved purple buttons, and a gorgeous art nouveau lining, figure flattering darts through the waistline and a v-neckline without a collar. It has shoulder pads under the lining for that classic 80s silhouette. The skirt has an a-line shape and is quite full with pleats at the waistline on either side in front and back. It has pockets on the sides and the closure is two hook and eyes at the waistband that open into the pocket making it easy to get on and off. The fabric is a lovely lightweight textured cotton linen that feels amazing on. Its a very versatile skirt set that would look great any time of year and could easily be dressed up or down.

I found no tags in this dress, but the construction and finishing make me think it was not handmade - just lining the blazer and getting these pockets and pleats just right would take a high level of expertise. Condition is excellent! Freshly soaked and steamed with no holes or odors, super fresh! I did notice a tiny pink mark on the right upper shoulder, I swear it wasn't there before I soaked it which is confusing, but it is not distracting to my eye. This fabric has some natural color changes, it just has a kind of ombre to it, but it looks a tiny bit like fade here and there that might not have been there when it was purchased. To me it still presents beautifully and is not at all distracting but I have priced gently. You can see what I'm referring to in photos, in no way takes away from what a beautiful vintage skirt set this is.

Size is a modern small, it fit my model really well and she's a size 6. The measurements are as follows:
