Early 1960's maize yellow wool pencil or wiggle skirt by "White Stag"

Early 1960's maize yellow wool pencil or wiggle skirt. This skirt has the most timeless and classic design. It is made by Portland label "White Stag" and still has the original tags attached. It is a bit longer, hitting below the knee with a talon side zipper and a hook and eye at the waistband. It is a beautiful soft wool with an acetate lining that goes 3/4 of the way down in back. Just a lovely example of early 60s minimalist fashion.

As I mentioned, brand is "White Stag" and the cardboard fabric tag as well as a union label is under that. There is also a "White Stag" hangtag that has really cool text inside it - it call is this a "Flannel Skirt" really capitalizing on that PNW Pendleton vibes warm and cozy market. My favorite part of the tag says "Because it is White Stag, count on: Fastidious fit, Notable fabrics, Heavenly hues, Color complemented coordinates in STAINED GLASS colors" - it's so great! This skirt has never been worn, but it does have a few condition problems just from the long storage. There is zero evidence of any moths, but at one point many decades ago, some bug took a few bites of it. This is only seen on the right side next to the seam around the center. There are no actual holes, just a few spots where the fabric was a bit gobbled on, I have patched in the few spots that were looking thin, but you don't notice this at all when worn. I've done my best to show this in photos. I've also priced gently because of this small flaw but this skirt presents just beautifully like new old stock.

Size is a modern small to medium. I've shown it on my size XS model and it was too big on her so I clamped it on some of the photos but in the video she's wearing it loose, it could easily fit a larger frame as well - best for about a size 6. The measurements are as follows:

Waist - 27" max
Hips - 41"
Length - 27" (3" seam allowance)
