1960's winter wool long sleeve dress with a beautiful design featuring an oversized collar with a button tab in the middle, an elastic waist, and long bishop style sleeves with tapered button sleeve cuffs. It has a really beautiful heathered color blocking in shades of greyish brown. It has a wiggle shape, but very easy to wear with a flat front and elastic around the sides and back. The fabric is a lovely lightweight wool with a silky nylon lining. Closure is a YKK zipper up the back and a hook and eye at the top. Such a beautiful example of 60s minimalist mod fashion.
The tag of this dress is cut out so I don't know the brand, but I was so sad to discover that because 60s tags are so cool. I know it was not handmade because you can see where the tag was and there is a manufactures label on the inside skirt seam that has fabric and care information in Chinese. Condition is excellent! There are belt loops but no belt. Freshly washed with no holes, stains or odors. Presents almost like new.
Size is a modern small to medium. It was darling unpinned on my model shown who is a size 4/6. I think it can accommodate a variety of sizes. The measurements are as follows:
Bust - 34.5"
Waist - 23 - 28" (really nice stretch)
Hips - 40"
Shoulder to waist - 16"
Waist to hem - 25"
Shoulder - 14.5"
Sleeve - 22.25"
