1950's wiggle dress in the most stunning plaid print in shades of grey, dark olive green, blue and yellow, such a beautiful plaid. This dress has a classic 50s wiggle or pencil silhouette fitted and figure flattering. It has a boat neckline short sleeves and cool diagonal slit pockets on either side of the skirt in front. Very thoughtful orientation of the plaid, set on the bias for the bodice and straight up and down on the skirt. It also lines up beautifully on all the seams. Closure is a matching metal zipper with a hook and eye at the top and the fabric is a beautiful and easy to care for cotton.
There are no brand tags in this dress but there is a lot tag indicating it was not handmade. Condition is excellent. There are belt loops but no belt although there are many colors of belts that would looks great with this dress and it is darling without a belt as well. Freshly soaked and pressed with no holes, stains or odors, clean as can be and ready to wear. The dress presents almost like new.
Size is a modern small to medium or about a size 6. The dress is lightly clamped on the form to show proper shape but I've also shown it loose for your reference. The measurements are as follows:
Bust - 36" with a bit extra in the bust darting
Waist - 27"
Hips - 37"
Shoulder to waist - 15.5"
Waist to hem - 25.25"
Shoulder - 15" + just a bit more
