1950's formal fit and flare dress in a beautiful silky fabric that has a black spider web and daisy pattern with embossed flowers throughout. Criss cross V neckline cuffed short sleeves and attached panels at the bottom of the bust with a gold and rhinestone button. Skirt is full and flowing with beautiful movement when worn. Closure is a gold metal side zipper.
No tags but if hand-made very well done. Condition is excellent. There were a few seam separations most notably up on the top shoulder seams and at a few spots on the waist I reinforced the seams by hand. No stains, or odors. While I was pressing it I discovered a teeny hole in the skirt which I patched and is unseen now. I purchased this dress for myself but its worth nothing that the side zipper is only 8 inches long so its hard to pull over your head particularly if you're busty. It would be fairly easy to put a longer zipper into the side so it could fit a larger proportion. The dress has belt loops but no belt. Presents beautifully with years of wear to go.
Size is a modern medium-large. I've shown it on my size small model and it was cute worn loose but could fit a larger person easily. The measurements are as follows:
Bust - 39"
Waist - 29.5" max
Hips - open
Shoulder to waist - 16.75"
Waist to hem - 31.5"
